What age are reward charts for?
They tend to work well from around two up to early primary age. Younger children respond to immediate, visual rewards like a sticker or star, so keep the goal simple and the reward soon.
Should I take stars away?
Most guidance suggests not removing earned stars, as it can feel discouraging. Keep the focus on catching the good moments and building on them.
